This was my first serious live coding concept, created around and performed with my first attempt at designing a live coding language called graa (because graaphs).
The idea was not as much to push the Disklavier to music beyond human playing capabilities, but to juxtapose the very acoustic sound of the piano with a very digital method of music creation and pure, digitally created sine waves, while telling a little, abstract story with the code.
It was hard to follow up on after I left Karlsruhe because it's not easy to find a Disklavier, but live coding with piano sounds remained a constant in my live coding work ever since, i.e. in smaller EPs like this is not a piano and this is not a piano, either, or even piano/percussion.
